1. Back to School Escape Room (editable in .ppt)

This EDITABLE back to school Escape Room includes icebreakers, a supply scavenger hunt, a syllabus close reading quiz, cryptoquotes, and an optional writing activity about Growth Mindset. You can present this as a Breakout Box (groups work at their desks) or as an Escape Room (groups seek clues you’ve hidden in the classroom). It has been designed to take 30-40 minutes. This resource includes a complete Teacher’s Guide (set-up, printing checklist, differentiation) and Answer Key. This resource has been designed to work for any subject area. (grades 6-12)

2. Introduction to Shakespeare’s London

This Introduction to Shakespeare is an Escape Room or Digital Breakout activity. You can present this as a digital activity (using an interactive site), a paper Escape Room, or a blended version of the two. It has been designed to take 45-60 minutes and covers the Globe Theatre, Shakespeare’s Life, and Elizabethan London. This resource also includes a complete Teacher’s Guide (set-up, printing checklist, differentiation), Elizabethan Fact Sheet, Research Extensions, a quiz, and an Answer Key.

3. Romeo and Juliet Escape Room Review Activity

This review activity for Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare is a series of puzzles covering plot, character, figurative language, conflict, and quote identification. You can present this as a Breakout Box (groups work at their desks) or as an Escape Room (groups seek clues you’ve hidden in the classroom). It has been designed to take 30-40 minutes.
