These 4 versions of Shakespeare plays—Macbeth, The Tempest, Much Ado about Nothing, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream—are part of my Shakespeare in 30 collection. Each play in this series has been adapted for teens to tackle in a half an hour.

This resource has been tested and performed with students in grades 6-12.
✨ Macbeth & the Witches: This abridgment focuses on Macbeth, Lady Macbeth, Banquo, and the witches. 7 roles + 11 extras (apparitions and parade of kings)
✨ A Midsummer Night’s Dream: This version is a simple abridgment that maintains all of the subplots and has roles for fourteen students.
✨ Much Ado About Nothing: This adaptation has very little dialogue (most characters speak only a word at a time) and relies on vocal expression and mime to convey the story. Roles for 13 students.
✨ The Tempest: This abridgment maintains all of the subplots and has roles for 13 students and as many extra mariners as you’d like.

Your download is a .zip file containing several files. The Teacher’s Guide is a .pdf and cannot be edited. You can edit the script (.doc) and the extension activities (.ppt). You also get the worksheets as fillable Google Slides.
