Description

This EDITABLE back to school escape game is a quick 10-15 minute Syllabus Reconstruction activity. You edit the Clue Cards to contain information from your syllabus. Students then sort the cards by category (course description, expectations, supplies, etc.) and uncover clues to solve the Secret Message (a growth mindset quote). This resource includes optional writing extensions (prompts & rubrics) for analysis and reflection. This resource has been designed to work for any subject area. (grades 6-12)

This is one of the tasks from my Back to School Escape Room, adapted to take 10-15 minutes.

What You Get:

1. A full Teacher’s Guide about the Secret Code and editing the resource in PowerPoint (no font downloads required)

2. 24 Clue Cards to edit for your syllabus

3. Four fixed categories (course description, course expectations, supplies, and important information) and one choice category (either reading list OR grade breakdown) –> This means you can use this resource for ELA, Math, Science, or Social Studies.
